 The mold of Dr. Arthur Herald Parker consists of multiple sections. The silicon rubber mold, that you see here, captures the surface details.

Each rubber mold has its own rigid mother mold to keep it from flopping around.

The rubber and mother molds fit each other precisely.

One side of this section fits the other by way of male and female “keys”.

The mold is used to create a wax pattern that is taken into the process of “lost wax” bronze casting. The bow-tie was cast using the same methods. The bronze eyewear was sculpted directly by hand at the foundry.
